We Are VHW

When a team wrestles against VHW trained wrestlers you hear words like skilled, tough and unwilling to lose. These are some of the qualities that Vougar instills in his wrestlers. Better than anyone, Vougar knows what it takes to be a winner. He has reached the top of the wrestling world, twice winning the title of World Champion as well as being an Olympic medalist. He has built the same reputation as a coach. VHW wrestlers have achieved College All-American, Junior College All-American, High School All-American, New York State Champion, All-State, Nassau County Champion, Suffolk County Champion, and All-County.
Whatever age, (elementary school up) and whatever skill level, VHW will make you a better wrestler. You will learn the moves you need to win and the attitude you need to take onto the mat. Vougar knows there is no substitute for hard work and discipline so if you are ready to dedicate yourself to becoming the best wrestler you can be, it’s time for you to join VHW.

Since 2006, VHW has helped young wrestlers develop the skills they need to take the next step in their wrestling careers.

For some that will mean winning a few matches.For others, it will take them to a county or state championship. Vougar doesn’t just develop wrestling skills, he instills discipline, dedication and a willingness to push yourself beyond what you thought your capabilities were.

Vougar Oroudjov was born in Russia in 1971. He competed in both the 1992 Summer Olympics, where he competed for the Unified Team, and the 1996 Summer Olympics, taking third and fourth respectively. More
